Hello you lovely readers, I’ve had a few people ask recently where I buy bits for Harry’s room. So here’s a quick blog post about some of my favourite pieces, many of which are from lovely Insta shops…
The main bulk of the furniture was from Mamas and Papas (wardrobe, cotbed, changing unit).
We were really lucky to find a great cabinet from IKEA that matched the furniture beautifully. It’s perfect for Harry’s books, toys and ideal for a cheeky shelfie!
As you will tell from these photos, we love colour and wanted Harry’s room to be fun and vibrant.
We decided on a neutral theme for the room as we wanted to be team yellow. Luckily, we had only decorated the room a few months before (call it preparation!!) and kept it really neutral in colour with stone coloured walls and pale turquoise blinds which we figured would complement a boy or girl theme.
Once Harry arrived, we decided on wall graphics in a jungle theme. We bought these from Not On The High Street and they were really easy to apply to the wall – super straightforward (which was ideal with a newborn!)
To personalise the room we added a wooden letter in a bright lime green colour to tie in with the wall graphics. The H was from The Wooden Letters Company; we’ve ordered from them before and never been disappointed.
Some friends had a lovely felt sign made for Harry’s room which we adore.
For Harry’s birthday party we ordered lots (and lots!) of paper Pom poms. We didn’t want to just throw them all away after the party so recycled a few of the yellow and green Pom poms into Harry’s room and they worked perfectly.
We added a lovely felt garland from The Bear and the Bird which brought all the colours together. Along with an initial lamp from We Are Up In Lights and a personalised print from Bambino Prints and there you have it – Harry’s nursery!
